ADDIS ABABA , ETHIOPIA – MI was proud to support and participate in the rejuvenated Micronutrient Forum Global Conference, which saw close to 1000 participants engage in the five-day conference held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from June 2 to 6. If you visited us at the MI exhibit, thank you!
MI holds an active role in the Forum, hosting the Forum Secretariat and providing ongoing support for its activities, including the global conference. MI’s Luz Maria De-Regil is also a co-chair of the Forum Steering Committee.
With close to 50 poster presentations from our Asia, Africa and Canada, MI staff were also involved in sponsored symposiums, sessions, learning centres and important peer-to-peer meetings.
In addition, Joel Spicer, MI President, chaired two plenary sessions, one on innovative financing and the other on political will. The Micronutrient Forum website will post some videos of the conference sessions.
During the Gala Dinner, Joel Spicer presented Tanzania’s Dr. Generose Mulokozi with an award for most outstanding poster that bridges discovery and delivery in micronutrient programming.
