Posted on February 2, 2017
OTTAWA, CANADA ― The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is pleased to announce that it signed on with Women Deliver to become an Ally Organization of the Deliver for Good campaign on January 13. Launched during the May 2016 Women Deliver Conference, the Deliver for Good campaign is a global push that applies a gender lens to the Sustainable Development Goals and promotes 12 critical investments in girls and women that will bring high returns for women and for societies in decades to come ― including improving maternal and newborn health and nutrition.
A leading global advocate for girls’ and women’s health, rights and wellbeing, Women Deliver brings together diverse voices and interests to drive progress, particularly in maternal, sexual and reproductive health and rights. As an ally, MI will provide expert guidance and evidence on improving women and girls’ nutrition and act as a champion for the campaign.
MI is proud to be joining Deliver for Good. Through this campaign we will collaborate with allies across sectors, leveraging our resources and expertise to achieve a common goal: empowering women and girls to reach their full potential.
