Overview
Pakistan is in the eye of a global climate crisis. The severe floods in the country that began in June, 2022 have killed more than 1,500 citizens and left a third of the country underwater. The economic costs, are expected to exceed US$30 billion. This journal article first published in The Lancet explores what can and should be done to strengthen and complete the humanitarian assistance and rescue process.
