Overview

This summary report shares findings from a gender and equity analysis in Tanzania’s Simiyu Region under the REACTS-IN project. It highlights the barriers adolescents—especially girls—face in accessing nutrition, health, and sexual and reproductive health services, including gaps in trained staff, adolescent-focused guidance, and social and gender norms.

Using interviews, focus groups, facility and school observations, and policy reviews, the analysis informs strategies to improve adolescent-responsive services. The findings guide REACTS-IN and partners in advancing gender-equitable access to nutrition and health services for adolescents living in vulnerable situations.
