Tambudzai Rashidi is Nutrition International’s Country Director in Malawi. With over a decade of experience in maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), sexual and reproductive health and rights, and nutrition, she leads program planning and development at the country level, as well as program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and financial and human resources management in the Malawi office.

In her most recent role as Country Director and Chief of Party for Jhpiego under USAID-funded MNCH programs, Tambudzai led the design and implementation of high-impact programs across MNCH, family planning, adolescent health, post-abortion care, cervical cancer prevention, HIV/AIDS, WASH, and gender equality. She has also served as Team Leader for CowaterSogema’s Canadian-funded Integrated Pathways for Improving Maternal, Newborn and Child Health project, and as Technical Lead for Palladium on USAID’s MOMENTUM project.

Tambudzai began her career in Malawi’s public health system, serving as National Safe Motherhood Coordinator, Nurse-Midwifery Lecturer, and Hospital Matron. She holds a Master’s degree in Reproductive Health and Family Planning Management from Cardiff University (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Administration, Education and Community Health from the Medical University of Southern Africa.
