Landscape Analysis – Rice fortification in Senegal
Overview
The purpose of this document is to review the potential of rice fortification in Senegal to overcome micronutrient deficiencies around the country. Rice is the most widely consumed cereal in the country, with an estimated consumption of 198g per person per day. This landscape analysis updates data on the status of micronutrient status in the country, and assesses the logistics of implementing a rice fortification strategy.
