Babajide Adebisi is Nutrition International’s Deputy Country Director for Nigeria. In this role, he is responsible for strategic planning and leads the implementation and monitoring of Nutrition International’s program related activities in Nigeria, focusing on maternal and child nutrition and micronutrient supplementation.
Babajide has 20 years of experience in the nutrition and development sector. Prior to joining Nutrition International, he worked as the Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID/SPRING Project in Tamale, Ghana, where he facilitated the planning and implementation of various nutrition and development initiatives across 405 communities. As the Chief of Party for the same project in Abuja, Nigeria, Babajide played a key role in expanding SPRING Nigeria’s operation area from two to 16 states. He also worked as the Regional Partnerships Advisor for Anglophone Africa at FHI360/Alive & Thrive Project, where he contributed to the development of a community mobilization framework on infant and young child feeding across nine states and 90 communities.
Babajide has a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition (Public Health Nutrition) and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, both from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.
