Nutrition International is providing technical and financial support for:

Double fortified salt

  • Developing technical documents, advocacy tools, and activities under the Eat Right India campaign
  • Procuring double fortified salt (fortified with iodine and iron) and introducing it in hot cooked meals

Wheat flour fortification

  • Supporting millers to produce flour adequately fortified with iron and folic acid
  • Working with state governments to introduce iron and folic acid fortified wheat flour through social safety net programs

Adolescent nutrition

  • Strengthening operationalization of the weekly iron-folic acid supplementation program across five states
  • Facilitating timely procurement and distribution of weekly iron-folic acid supplements
  • Building capacity of district and sub-district officials on monitoring, reporting, and review mechanisms

Maternal nutrition

  • Budgeting and procuring iron-folic acid supplements
