Allison Verney joined Nutrition International in 2014 and is currently the Technical Advisor for Infant and Young Child Nutrition and Health (IYCN-H).
In her role, she provides technical support and direction to Nutrition International’s IYCN-H programs for program design, research and evaluation, and the use of evidence to inform policy and program decision-making.
Previously at Nutrition International, Allison was the Program Officer for Maternal and Newborn Health and Nutrition where she oversaw Nutrition International’s Community-Based Maternal and Newborn Health and Nutrition project in four African countries. Her responsibilities included program management, research and evaluation, and regional and global dissemination of results.
Allison has more than seven years of international experience in maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition programs, including program development, management, and research.
She holds an MSc from McGill University in Human Nutrition, with a focus on international nutrition, and a Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences.
