Behind the scenes of a vitamin A campaign in Jigawa, Nigeria
Vitamin A supplementation (VAS) is a proven, high-impact nutrition intervention that saves lives. Nutrition International supports the Government of Nigeria to provide VAS twice-annually through Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Weeks throughout the country.
We met up with those making the campaign happen in Jigawa State. Watch as vitamin A travels from a warehouse, is strapped onto the back of a motorbike and moves along dirt roads to reach children at risk of vitamin A deficiency.
