Overview

This study estimated the percentage of reduction necessary in stunted children under five years and anaemic women to reach the World Health Assembly Resolution targets in thirteen countries with a population of 100 million plus.

Demographic techniques were applied to project the numbers using the average annual rates of reduction recommended in the world health assembly.

In order to achieve these rates of reduction, programs aimed at reducing stunting and anaemia must be accelerated in India and Nigeria, which are high burden countries.
