Overview

The purpose of this brief is to highlight the importance of preventing neural tube defects (NTDs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) and reviews the barriers that exist that make this difficult. As a result, it is recommended that representative organizations, such as those supported by the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, are supported to continue advocating for the rights of people with NTDs in LMIC.
