The Elgeyo Marakwet County Nutrition Action Plan (CNAP) 2023-2027 was developed to align with the broader national policies and global health frameworks. The CNAP adopts a multisector approach, fostering cross-sector collaboration to address the social determinants of malnutrition in a sustainable manner. It outlines high-impact, nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions to be implemented across all levels in the health sector and other county line departments. The aim is to achieve effective and sustainable food and nutrition security leading to improved nutrition and health related outcomes. The CNAP also provides a monitoring and accountability framework, along with cost estimates for interventions, to support county government planning and budgeting.
